What is the best romantic adventure anime ever?

i would like something really romantic and super sad, yet packed with action. im not a person who likes lonnnnngg ass series, sooo, please gimme a short one. id also like and anime with really good art, like kaze no stiga, or gakuen alice. pleaseeeee, and thank you!!!

This can easily be disputed. One anime can be better than another to some people.
For me, romantic adventure, InuYasha. It is a pretty long series though, so if your looking for something shorter, I would probably recommend Samurai Deeper Kyo or something like Rerouni Kenshin.
