white egg found in lake?

i went to my local lake today in central florida, and i was using about a 5 foot handle net i esd trying to cstch grass shrimp, minnows, and small crayfish. But when i looked in it i had what looked like a pingpong ball about the same size as one i picked it up softly and it was very heavy and definatly some type of egg but im not sure what kind
does anyone know?
it was about the size of a ping pong bsll completely round,white, and in a calm cannal conected from a lake and it was about 2 feet deep in the water.

Well, it's really hard to say, but judging from the sound of it, maybe a turtle egg of some sort? It's not unheard of for turtle nests to be disturbed and the eggs scattered.
