4 m long, 4 m wide, and 3 m high. Assume that the diameter of a ball is 4.3 cm.

A room with those dimensions will have an area of 48 metres cubed. (That is just doing lenght x breadth x height, 4 x 4 x 3 = 16 x 3 = 48).

Assuming the ball is exactly spherical, if you wanted it without being crushed, you would put them in their own little cubes. Which is equal ot 0.043 x 0.043 x 0.043 = 7.95x10^-5 metres cubed. It is 0.043 because that is 4.3cm in metres.

Therefore, the number of balls in the room, is the volume of the room, divided by the volume the ball takes up. 48 / 7.95x10^-5 = 603720 balls.
